Beta += 1
Go figure. A beta of less than a year. I guess there really wasn’t as much to beta as I thought.
What’s new?
July 2008
- Not many posts … too much OT at work
- Many ideas for site, though (including a real news feed)
May 2008
- The ads are still gone. Ads suck.
- Work is really busy this spring, updates are 75.36% less frequent than planned.
- Traffic sucks, growing more slowly than anticipated. Slightly less than 1k unique page views per day. D’oh.
Feb 2008
- The ads are gone. Google ads are crap. I might put interesting ads up later, something that doesn’t whore up the site.
- I pulled off the retarded copyright stuff (thanks to all who kicked me for that one). I’ve opened up the copyright in a nice-fucking-netizen sort of way.
- I re-styled the site, to fix some IE7/iPhone bugs (it’s mostly done, and mostly better). IE didn’t like right-floating in a div, and mobile Safari wasn’t a fan of the fixed-height column header.
- I reworked many of the older strips ((And I disabled the ones I haven’t done yet. They’ll be back.)) to fit in one basic size, with more consistent spacing. I scripted it too, as I’m a clever bastard.
Dec 2008
- First post. A beta release, rough around the edges. Live with it.
Prehistory
- Posted random comics to my weblog, causing server meltdowns and shit.
TODO
- Navigation on the top. I know someone is going to complain about not having it.
- The archives suck (don’t they on most sites?). Maybe a by-topic or by-tag archive would be better. Ideas?
- Post more. Right now I’m only hitting 1-per-week.
- Add a hover or auto-generated link to the SVG source for each comic. The files are on the server already, I just don’t want to hand-craft HREFs to each one.
- Look at a rating or voting system for fun.
- Advertise/self-promote.
- Get around to t-shirts, and later a print-on-demand-vanity book.
